The cost of building a house in the city of Hebron has been estimated at $1.5bn, with the city’s residents expected to pay at least half of that sum, according to local residents.
The construction of a new house in Hebron, a city on the occupied West Bank, has attracted international attention and international condemnation in recent years, particularly after the Israeli authorities demolished the homes of dozens of Palestinians in the occupied city.
Since the beginning of the construction of the new house, Israel has demolished hundreds of structures in Hebror and its adjacent Palestinian neighborhoods, according the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.
The demolitions have sparked widespread anger among Palestinians, who are protesting the demolition.
The city of 6,000 inhabitants has been under Israeli military control since 2014.
Since then, the number of Palestinians who have been killed by Israeli forces has risen dramatically.
In 2014, at least 2,091 Palestinians were killed, and in 2015, at the height of the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, an estimated 1,932 Palestinians were shot dead.
Many Palestinians have blamed Israel for the killing spree.
In a video that was widely distributed on social media, an elderly Palestinian man, Mohammed, was seen carrying his lifeless body to the grave after his home was demolished.
In February, the Israeli government announced it would close the main bridge crossing between Hebron and the West Bank city of Nablus, in order to reduce the number, which had already reached around 100,000 people.
The bridge had been the main crossing between Israel and the occupied territories, which Israel annexed in the 1967 Middle East war.
The closure has caused a spike in traffic congestion in Hebrol and the surrounding area.
As a result, Israeli authorities have started construction on several additional roads, including those that lead to the Hebron settlement of Shiloh, according Haaretz reports.
The new construction in Hebrons housing complex, which will be built in the same location as the previous two homes, is expected to be completed by 2021, the Jerusalem Post reported.
In May, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he will extend his stay in office for another six years.
Netanyahu has not made any official announcement on the new building.
