Brick house construction project moves ahead in Massachusetts

The construction of a brick house on a street in suburban Boston is moving ahead with a $4.7 million contract from the Massachusetts Department of Building and Safety.

The contract for the project from the department’s office of inspector general is for $2.5 million, said Chris Tamburello, the department inspector general.

The department also received $2 million in grants from the state’s Department of Natural Resources for work to help with the construction of the structure.

Tamburellos office said the contractor has been in business since 2008 and the project will be completed in 2020.
